According to HM Revenue & Customs guidance, you will generally be entitled to apply for Marriage Allowance using this service if you are in a legally-registered Civil Partnership and meet the income criteria.
However, you will not qualify if you are merely cohabiting (e.g. living together as a couple in the same property), regardless of how long you may have done so.
Unsure whether you qualify? Click here to find out.
If you wish to receive any guidance or advice, please contact HM Revenue & Customs by telephone on 0300 200 3300.
Our UK-based call centre staff are trained to help you make an informed decision. Please note we are unable to provide any form of tax, financial or legal advice.
